Bacopa and “clean” caffeine found in green tea are natural anti-stress, anti-anxiety and antidepressants. Bacopa extract unlike anti-depressant medicine, doesn’t have amnesic side effects. Rather, it promotes cognition. Meanwhile caffeine in green tea also serves well in stimulating good emotions. Luckily, you can have both by trying this recipe. Here’s how:
Blueberry Nootropic Smart Muffins
**Momental Mind, can be added to any flour, but we prefer to make our own almond flour, and it’s so easy. Simply soak almonds in cold water overnight, then rinse and drain them. Add 3.5 cups of water per 1 cup of almonds. The better the almonds the better your almond milk and flour. Add your rinsed and drained almonds and 3.5 cups of water to a blender. Blend for 2 minutes. Then you use a nut bag (cheese cloth) to drain your almond milk and collect the remainder for flour. Separate the two.
Spread the almond mixture onto parchment paper on a baking sheet. Then bake in the oven for approx 3 hours on low (170deg). This helps to dry it out. Once it’s dry you add it to a food processor or equivalent blender with 1 scoop of Momental Mind per 1 cup of almonds you began with. It’s that easy! Now you can bake whatever you’d like, and make it the smart way.

Snacking When You’re Depressed
Common to men and women is that when they are feeling depressed or sad, they binge on “feel good” junk food. Potato chips, ice cream, snacks with high amounts of added sugar, processed baked goods also loaded with sugar, and whipped cream are very common. This eventually leads to accumulating pounds on your body. Perhaps you’ve heard your mother say that eating before a meal spoils your appetite, but hey these muffins will decrease your appetite, and you can feel good about eating them too.
Eating Foods Rich with Nootropics and Fat Burning Nutrients, Helps Increase Weight Loss
Acacia fiber, is good in suppressing your appetite, a prebiotic, and aids in regulating your metabolism. Consuming foods with acacia provides earlier satiety, you feel full so you will not crave and eat unnecessary calories.
Alpha Lipoic Acid, is a natural fat burner. And MCTs are fats that burn fat. Along with phosphatidylserine, these are healthy fats which can lead to early satiety, prolonged fullness, and subsequent weight loss. Healthy fats also aren’t stored as fat by your liver, like sugar is.
EGCG, found in green tea promotes fat oxidation in the body which speeds up your metabolism and uses the fats in your body to have greater energy.
Muffins with nootropics boost brain health by increasing cognition, decreasing stress and anxiety, protect our cells, and aid neurogenesis (new neuron growth). Improving your brain health now is just a matter of baking and munching. What a smart way to look after your brain and weight!
