Know that your covered with Momental Mind mixed in any smoothie, but we thought we'd share one of our favorites for a little inspiration.

The Benefits of Nootropics in Your Smoothie

The word, “nootropic” was coined by Corneliu Giurgea, who joined the two Greek words that means “mind” and “bending”.

With the use of a special blend of brain supporting compounds, called nootropics, Momental Mind supports the demands of our brain’s needs to operate at a high-level and to recover from daily stressors.

In order to implement and execute in our daily lives, there is a vast need to process, store, and decipher information faster, especially in today’s world of ever increasing information and overstimulation. So in choosing nootropics, we must refrain from using synthetic drugs that can alter the body’s chemical structure, flood receptors, or even change the absorption or inhibition of neurotransmitters or brain cell communicators. This is why we use substrates that act as building blocks for your brain and body’s normal physiological processes.

Good thing there’s herbal nootropic supplements that are GRAS certified and deemed to be over the counter by the FDA. You can learn more about our products here.

The Hot Trend in Microgreens

According to the nutritionist, Natalie Butler, microgreens are the seedlings of vegetables and herbs. Once the seed of an herb or vegetable begins to grow it becomes a sprout. The sprout then begins to grow into a microgreen. Sprouts are grown in water and typically harvested within 2-3 days, and microgreens are harvested after requiring additional sunlight and growth at 1-3 weeks. They vary in their nutrient profile, which makes all the difference for when they are harvested and when compounds are extracted.

Microgreens can be grown from any herb or vegetable. One scoop of MIND, contains the following blend of organic greens:

  1.     Spirulina
  2.     Alfalfa leaf juice
  3.     Wheatgrass
  4.     Barley grass
  5.     Oat grass
  6.     Broccoli
  7.     Cabbage
  8.     Parsley
  9.     Kale
  10.  Chlorella
  11.  Kelp
  12.  Dulse
  13.  Dandelion and;
  14.  Broccoli sprouts

These microgreens have a higher concentration of nutrients compared to mature, fully grown herbs and vegetables. Also, the possible health benefits linked to consuming plant-based foods is aimed to reduce many heart related conditions such as high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and obesity.
