Pumpkin Chili Paleo Style | Momental Nootropics

What Can Pumpkin Do For Your Health?

A lot, actually!

Karen Gill, MD, and Megan Ware, RDN, explain exactly why pumpkin is so good for you, and why it is good for more than just carving jack-o-lanterns at Halloween and pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving.

In fact, in their article for MedicalNewsToday, "What Are the Health Benefits of Pumpkins," they recommend that you include this amazing power food in your diet as much as you can, and when you mix pumpkin with your Momental Mind Nootropics, you have an instant recipe for good health!

What are customers saying about Mind and Mend?

Pumpkins Have Antioxidants

You probably hear a lot about antioxidants - enough that you know these are a good thing.  But what exactly are they?

According to Sharon Lehman, MS, in her article "The Benefits of Antioxidants,"  "Antioxidants are substances that may protect cells in your body from free radical damage that can occur from exposure to certain chemicals, smoking, pollution, radiation, and as a byproduct of normal metabolism."

This means that foods with antioxidants, like pumpkin and blueberries, contain vitamins that actually prevent damage from occurring to your body.

Antioxidants have been linked to increased heart health and reduced risk of advanced aging macular degeneration in your eyes.

Pumpkins Help with Weight Loss

In addition to antioxidants, pumpkin is also rich in fiber, which aids in slowing digestion.  Although that doesn't necessarily sound like a good thing at first, slowing digestion actually keeps you feeling fuller longer.

Caroline Kaufman, MS, RDN, encourages including the low-calorie pumpkin superfood in your diet, saying, "There's seven grams of fiber in a cup of canned pumpkin. That's more than what you'd get in two slices of whole-grain bread" (6 surprising health benefits of pumpkins, CNN).

When you feel full, you tend to eat less, thus automatically helping with natural weight loss.

Pumpkins Help With Your Overall Immune System

With its huge dose of Vitamin A in every bite, pumpkin is a natural germ fighter.  It helps your body fight infections and viruses before you even know you are sick.

While you are incorporating foods into your diet to help you stay healthy, adding Momental Mend Nootropics to your daily routine is already doing this for you while you sleep.  Mend is formulated to help you recover from daily stressors, repair damaged neural tissue, and achieve deep, restorative sleep.

Mend accomplishes this with a unique blend of building blocks that support neurotransmitter function involved in happiness, emotion, and mood as well as regulating serotonin and melatonin for sleep/wake cycles.
